Time to go.. .. on... !

3 and a half years, some 190 blogposts later, I decided to move on. ... Sad, but happy to have been with Katzelkraft, my first ever DT!

(You can click on the pictures to go to the original post.)

The stamps from Katzele...

....brought me in a whole new sunny garden..

... where I was fluttering around ...

... for a long time...

...but now it's time...

...to get on the train...

 ...and fly away.. ..

...travel...

...open up new pages in life...

...and sail to new harbours...

...to find new gardens, and root there !!!!

****

THE END.

THANKS BEATRICE!!

The Original Documented Life Project: - 3

I am doing the Original Documented life projectthe January theme being:
The Blank Page and How to Face It!
Art challenge for the 3rd week:  The Color Wheel
The prompt is:  "I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn’t say any other way . . . “    - Georgia O’Keeffe

about the prompt, I let the page speak for itself... I did not add the prompt to the page itself.
I am saying how much I love my Creator for all the beauty in nature.. not just for that though!

All the colors of the colorwheel are here..

LOVE how this turned out, and it was super easy.

NOTE: My camera does not like all those colors; the heart of the flower: it looks as if there is a yellow ring over the petals, IRL it's not that yellow.

HOW TO:
1. Start by scribbling color onto the page with watercolorcrayons.
2. Add watered-down gesso to blend the colors, cleaning the brush between the colors (otherwise you get muddy colors).
3, To even more knock down the colors, add white acrylic paint, and scribble into that to give some interest.
4. Leave to dry. (difficult!)
5. Adhere a paper napkin (parts of it) with decoupage glue. Leave to dry.
6. Add color to the outer parts of the petals and dilute with a waterbrush.
7. Add shadow with a black pen.
8. Stamp a script in the background.

I SO love that you can see through the paper napkin, and the layers of the underlaying layers are visible.

That effect LOOKS GREAT, as far as I am concerned.

What do you think, ....will you give this a try???

The Original Documented Life Project: - 1

I am doing the Original Documented life projectthe January theme being:
The Blank Page and How to Face It!
Art challenge for this week:  Book Paper, the prompt is:  Be Your Own Goal Keeper
****
What I hope to learn this year?
"I will have to loosen up my style , grin..." is what I left as a comment on Roben-Marie's blog.
This is what she answered me: "I used to be very structured in my approach and it is so nice to just be "free" and not worry about perfection!"
I am going to enjoy this process, I knew I needed to do this, so DLP's timing is just right! HAPPY!

I decided to work in an empty photograph album, I dissembled all the pages, and will re-bind it once 2015's DLP has been done (yes, I am going for it!)
The size of the pages are real big, and I decided to journal on part of the page by masking the outsides of the page... This creates the edges, which I accentuated with shadowing techniques during the process. It gives the journal page a frame all by itself. LIKE it!

I think you can see that I got inspired by Roben-Marie's video most.
My creative goals (= DOELEN in dutch) for 2015 are written at the back of the tag.
Uitstellen helpt (niet) is a quote I found in a magazine, which I like for this page.
It means that postponing things(doesn't) help. Both ways are true in itself, sometimes it is good to postpone (I think that's called patience, LOL )

When you flip up the tag, you see the second part of whether postponing does (not) help!

If I would start this page again, I would change a few things, ( ....sigh.... SEE, told you, I am a control freak, hehe... )....
...but, hey, this is the process... 52 weeks long... and it's a process of learning by experimenting...
LOVE that anyway!

Hope you like it!
